Sarita Choudhury Joins Denis Leary Series Denis Leary's untitled ABC midseason pickup has signed Sarita Choudhury ("Mississippi Masala" ) as a series regular on, according to Variety.
Choudhury is currently shooting the films "3 A.M." with stars Danny Glover and Pam Grier and "Still A Kiss," with "Bastard Out Of Carolina" star Ron Eldard and Taye Diggs. The London-born actress appeared in "Karma Sutra: A Tale of Love" and "Gloria," starring Sharon Stone.
"Leary" (working title) is about Mike McNeil (Leary)-- a jaded chain-smoking New York City Cop with an unconventional approach to his work -- who is struggling to balance his personal life with his job. The series also stars Richard Gant ("Godzilla" ), Lenny Clarke ("Rounders" ), Adam Ferrara ("Social Studies" ), Bill Nunn ("Kiss The Girls" ), Diane Farr ("Arli$$").
